This selection of our native aronia (Aronia melanocarpa, aka chokeberry) naturally grows as a narrow column, reaching just 3-5′ tall and 2-3′ wide. That makes it perfectly suited for screening off an air conditioner or power box in your yard, as well as lining walkways and adding Low hedges and structure to the landscape. In spring, it is covered in white flowers, and fall brings an array of red, orange, and yellow foliage (this variety does not set fruit). Like all aronia, it is exceptionally durable, thriving in hot and cold, drought and wet, and just about any conditions you can imagine.

    A very showy variegated elder, this plant provides season-long color to landscapes. The blue-green leaves have crisp variegation that starts out gold in the spring before turning cream as the season progresses. The white flowers will produce black fruit if planted near another variety (Black Lace® is a good choice). Although it was not selected for its fruit production it will provide some berries for songbirds. This is a more stable plant than older variegated cultivars, and has more blue in the foliage.
