BLUE MUFFIN® Arrowwood Viburnum

Zone: 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 Exposure: Full Sun, Part Sun Height: 5-7' Width/Spread: 5-7'

A compact selection of arrowwod viburnum with glossy leaves and intense blue fruit in late summer. It makes a great hedge and is a good size for residential landscapes. This is a very durable native plant that tolerates a wide range of conditions including clay soils and black walnut.

Light: Grows in full to part sun. Needs at least 4 hours of direct sunlight to develop flower buds.

Soil: Will grow in any type of well-draining soil.

Water: Has average water needs, but will not tolerate sogginess.

Fertilizing: Apply a fertilizer formulated for flowering woody shrubs in early spring.

Pruning: Pruning isn’t recommended, as it will affect either flowering or berry set. If needed, you can prune in the late winter or early springtime.

Other: Requires a pollinator to produce berries. Chicago Lustre® is a good choice.
