CHARDONNAY PEARLS® Deutzia

Zone: 5, 6, 7, 8 Exposure: Full Sun, Part Sun Height: 1.5-3' Width/Spread: 1.5-3'

Attractive lime-green foliage brightens landscapes long after the spring blooms have passed. The white, pearl-like buds persist for some time before opening, further extending the season of interest.

Light: Will grow nicely in a range of sun exposures, even shady spots! In warm, southern climates it should be grown with a bit of shade to keep it from burning.

Soil: Performs best in moist soil that drains well.

Water: Average water needs.

Fertilizing: Isn’t typically needed.

Pruning: Maintains its small size naturally, but it responds well to a trim. If you’d like to prune it, you can do so in the spring after it’s done flowering.

Other: The chartreuse foliage makes Chardonnay Pearls even more shade tolerant than other options.
