JUICED® ORANGE Jessamine

Zone: 7b, 8, 9, 10 Exposure: Full Sun, Part Sun Height: 4-5' Width/Spread: 3-4'

Hundreds of vibrant orange blooms are the hallmark of Juiced Orange jessamine. Bunches of flowers fill the dark, glossy foliage from Spring, Summer. Their tubular shape attracts both hummingbirds and butterflies by the dozen. This makes it the perfect addition to a pollinator garden or as a group in a border, providing constant color throughout the growing season. Its tough performance might even encourage you to shift your garden to being more water-wise, with reliable drought and heat tolerance.

Why grow Juiced Orange jessamine?
– Long bloom time
– Tubular flowers attract pollinators
– Tough plant

Light: Really thrives in a full sun spot, one that is exposed to direct sunlight for six hours or longer. Will grow in a part sun spot, but just doesn’t get quite as dense or grow as many flowers.

Soil: Will grow in any type of well-draining soil.

Water: Has average water needs, but is drought tolerant once it’s established.

Fertilizing: Has high nutrient needs. Apply a fertilizer formulated for flowering woody shrubs starting in early spring and continuing each month until July.

Pruning: You can prune it to shape in the springtime.

Other: Foliage is semi-evergreen, so that means it will drop some leaves in fall, but keep some of its outer leaves in the winter. In zone 7 it will behave similarly to a buddleia, dying back to the ground in the winter. It will regrow from the roots and still produce hundreds of blooms.
