The Rise Up® series of roses are the first-ever climbing roses from Proven Winners ColorChoice Shrubs. We call them “mini climbers,” as they keep a neat, dense habit and can be grown as a climber or a shrub rose, depending on how the gardener prunes or trains them. Coming to us from the rose breeding genius of Chris Warner in the UK, these vigorous, healthy, Long blooming roses create a range of new applications for Proven Winners roses.

Rise Up Emberays® rose is a bonfire of color. Its big blooms are a blend of orange and pink and centered in yellow, practically popping off of its healthy green foliage. They have a brightness that you’ll want to match all around the rest of your garden. Its continuous blooming makes it a great touchstone for the space, a way to tie orange and yellow into the space all summer long. Their long stems are perfect for training up trellises, columns, or on wire along walls.

Why grow Rise Up Emberays rose?
– Amazing statement plant
– Great disease resistance
– Long bloom show

Light: Thrives in full sun. When planted in an area that gets less than six hours of direct sun each day, it will not flower as prolifically.

Soil: Prefers moist soil that drains easily. Any period of extended sogginess will not be tolerated. In terms of pH, it prefers either neutral or acidic soils over basic soils.

Water: Average water needs. Avoid wetting foliage when watering.

Fertilizing: Apply a granular rose fertilizer in late winter/early spring when the soil is workable and again in late spring to give the plant a boost for rebloom.

Pruning: Pruning is recommended in early spring. Remove weak branches in the middle and about 1/3 of the height and width. Make cuts just about 1/4 of an inch above a bud. Dead or damaged wood can be removed at any time, just cut back to a set of leaves.

Other: It can be used as a cut flower! For its longest vase life, cut vertically up the stem about 2 inches. This will help it absorb more water.
