SCENT & SENSIBILITY™ Pink Lilac

Zone: 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 Exposure: Full Sun Height: 2-3' Width/Spread: 4-5'

This dwarf lilac is wider than it is tall, and produces copious dark pink buds which open to soft, lilac-pink flowers. It is very fragrant. It does have repeat flowers through the summer, but is not as strong a rebloomer as the Bloomerang® varieties. It does have a very useful, compact habit and outstanding fragrance.

Light: Needs a minimum of six hours of sun exposure per day to thrive. Any less and it will have poor bloom count and is more prone to foliar problems.

Soil: Grows well in average soil and even enjoys alkaline leaning pH. Soil type must be well draining.

Water: Average water needs.

Fertilizing: You can apply a granulated fertilizer formulated for flowering shrubs in the springtime when the soil is workable. If you notice your plant starting to produce fewer blooms than normal, you can apply fertilizer again in the early summer.

Pruning: You can snip spent flowers off after the spring bloom to tidy up the plant.
