STONEHENGE® Yew

Zone: 4, 5, 6, 7 Exposure: Full Sun, Shade Height: 8-10' Width/Spread: 2-4'

Think of Stonehenge® taxus as a thin, faster-growing ‘Hicksii’. Perfect for hedging or foundation plantings where a narrow habit works best. This unique selection has been in our field trial for over five years and has never needed pruning, shearing, or shown signs of winter burn.

Light: Thrives in all light conditions.

Soil: Grows in all soils, but absolutely needs good drainage.

Water: Has regular water needs, but really resents soggy soil.

Fertilizing: Not typically needed.

Pruning: Regular pruning isn’t necessary, but if you’d like to shape it you can do so in late spring when you see bright green new growth. Only cut into that new growth and do so while it is still flexible. Cutting into woody growth will create holes that are either permanent or will take a very long time to fill.
