Light: Full sun to Part Sun. Can grow in shade (<4 hours of sun/day), but flowering will be decreased and color will be muddy.

Soil: Any average, well-drained soil will do.

Water: Average water needs. Drought tolerant once established, though severe drought can limit flower development.

Fertilizing: Nothing special required. If desired, you may apply a granular fertilizer formulated for woody plants in late winter/early spring.

Pruning: Pruning is not needed, but it may be shaped as desired in late winter/early spring. Sunny Anniversary abelia Blooms on new wood.
