Yang viburnum is an elegant, compact evergreen hybrid (V. davidii x V. propinquum) that has thick, glossy, bluish-green leaves and showy round clusters of white spring flowers. The flowers are followed by elliptical blue fruit if pollinated by Yin® viburnum.

Light: Grows in full to part sun, needs at least 4 hours of direct sunlight.

Soil: Will grow in any type of well-draining soil. Tolerates acidic to slightly alkaline (pH 8.0) conditions.

Water: Has average water needs, but will not tolerate sogginess.

Fertilizing: Apply a fertilizer formulated for flowering woody shrubs in early spring.

Pruning: Pruning isn’t recommended, as it will affect either flowering or berry production. If needed, you can prune after it is done flowering in spring.

Other: Requires a pollinator to produce berries, plant Yin viburnum.
